Consumer Directed Services are provided to persons with a physical disability and do not include any task performed by a licensed professional. Participants of this program must be able to self direct the care planning process and hire an attendant. Angelic Healthcare Services staff is available to make things as easy as possible for our CDS clients by guiding you through the process, assisting whenever needed, and helping out from beginning to end. As each CDS participant is considered an actual business entity, they must acquire an EIN, MO tax ID, and other business accounts....however, again, we make the process easy by doing all the work for you. We also file all necessary taxes required by state and federal government agencies relevant to the CDS program and make sure you receive copies.
CDS Services are administered by the Division of Senior and Disability Services (DSDS) and are available to eligible persons 60 or older and to adults with disabilities between the ages of 18 and 59. There are two different programs, available in every county: consumer-directed services and in-home services.
Typically, CDS services consists of bathing, cleaning and meal preparation and clean up. Services and tasks are based on each persons individual needs.
